Hi, My general has ordered ext. cedar siding and redwood siding and they have had it pressure treated with FireX. Waterbourne stain is advised. My problem is that semi-transparent stain, unless it has plenty of pigment, needs to be recoated every 2-3 years and I'm suggesting to them that we add a little pigment, knowing that some of the wood grain will disappear. I'm looking for a happy compromise here. Any help out there? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
